BAGHDAD – The Minister of Health, Dr. Hani Musa Al-Uqabi, chaired the meeting of the Higher Committee for Drug Policy in the Ministry of Health, in the presence of the members of the Committee, today, Wednesday, September 14, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
During the meeting, the policy and mechanism for providing medicines to the Ministry of Health were discussed, stressing the priority of providing cancerous, epidemiological, life-saving, rare, specialized and chronic medicines and vaccines, while ensuring the quality and safety of these medicines.
The Minister stressed the importance of supporting and encouraging national factories that produce medicines to manufacture the medicines needed by the patient and to provide all the necessary facilities in this regard, with a focus on quality and appropriate prices, making all medicines available and strengthening the pharmaceutical situation in health institutions.
